Job Description:-

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Samsung, you’ll play an essential position in ensuring the reliability, availability, and overall performance of Samsung’s large-scale systems and offerings. You will paint closely with go-useful groups, inclusive of software program engineers, product managers, and operations groups, to construct and maintain strong infrastructure and put into effect first-rate practices in website reliability engineering.

Role & Responsibilities:-

System Design & Architecture:

• Ensure that the physical structures created support the efficient delivery of Samsung’s products and services by applying techniques for infrastructure development.
• Consult with development teams to define systems requirements and come up with solid designs for the systems in order to be reliable and performant.

Monitoring & Incident Management:

• Monitor and set alarms for potential problems so that they can be addressed before they become big problems.
• Coordinate responses to a given crisis, determine causes of such cases, and recommend ways of handling such situations in the future.

Automation & Optimization:

• Perform activities in an automated way so as to increment the automation level of systems and minimize the reliance on people.
• It implements the efficient use of a cloud and on-premises infrastructure with concerns about resource utilization and costs.

Performance & Capacity Planning:

• Do performance tuning and capacity planning to be able to cater to future growth and obtain system stability.
• Optimize element metrics to improve the system performance.

Security & Compliance:

• Main security objectives should be followed, and main security antecedents be ensured that the system is secure to the best practices observed in the industry and secure to the laws that govern the industry.
• Schedule security audits and penetration tests.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Collaborate frequently with the development and operations individuals to understand what needs to be achieved and set up a new feature to deploy easily.
• Discuss in clear and simple language topics that are rather technical for non-tech persons.

Qualifications:-

1. Relevant academic degree at least of Bachelor’s or Master’s in the field of Computer Science, Engineering, or IT is preferred.
2. Site reliability engineering experience or history in system administration or DevOps position.
3. Working knowledge of programming languages including Python, go, or Shell scripting languages.
4. Cloud platforms experience such as AWS, Azure, or GCP as well as container experiences such as Docker, and Kubernetes.
5. Awareness of computer networks, databases, and procedures for securing a system.
6. Able to manage complex systems, usually geographically dispersed ones, based on past experience.

Preferred Qualifications:-

• • Knowledge of the Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Knowledge of using Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery process along with automation of deployment.
  • Effective problem solving services and additional focus on risk or problematic areas.
