Software Engineer Job Description:-

As a Software Engineer at Meta, you’ll play a key role in creating, building, and rolling out software solutions that drive Meta’s social media platforms, VR products, and other groundbreaking technologies. You’ll team up with different departments to build fast scalable apps that make user experiences better and spark new ideas.

Key Responsibilities:-

Create, build, and support software apps and systems.
Produce neat, fast, and well-explained code.
Team up with product leads, designers, and other coders to shape and add new features.
Make apps run as and grow as much as possible.
Find and fix problems across different platforms and devices.
Take part in code checks to keep code top-notch and share know-how.
Keep up with the newest industry shifts and tech to ensure Meta stays ahead of the curve.
Help shape the overall structure and technical path of projects.

Qualifications:-

Computer Science or Engineering or any other relevant field minimum experience of a Bachelor’s degree holder and an advanced degree is preferable.
Preferable technical skills include excellent knowledge of C++, Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.
Experience in front-end frameworks such as React, and Angular and back-end technologies like Node. js, Django.
Awareness of database management systems on relational and non-relational databases (SQL and NoSQL).
Knowledge about the new software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
Professional problem-solving skills and analysis of details.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication as well as coordination skills.

Preferred Skills:-

- Previous work done on AR/VR technologies and their development.
- Ensuring and having prior knowledge of at least one cloud service provider (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud).
- Experience in machine learning and AI concepts.
- Experience in working with large-scale distributed systems.
